Our award-winning Cornish Saffron Cake uses a secret recipe, which dates back over a century. Saffron has been used in baked goods in Cornwall for many centuries, extending back to the Phoenician traders who exchanged exotic spices for tin. Nearby St Michael’s Mount was one of the largest trading centres in Europe and we are proud to have continued this tradition, sourcing the best saffron from Spain. Our range includes buns, teacakes, small and large cakes. This slice of tradition is delicious on its own, or toasted and covered in West Country butter.
